This privacy policy pertains to the Rapid Media Network, Inc. (RapidMedia Network) website (www.rapidmedianetwork.com) and to RapidMedia Network products or services including the RapidMedia Network browser (the RapidBrowser). The RapidMedia Network website and the RapidBrowser are owned and operated by RapidMedia Network. RapidMedia Network is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and has, thus, created this privacy statement.

Privacy in the RapidBrowser

RapidMedia Network has taken much care in the development so that user privacy and security are not compromised. While RapidMedia Network does collect basic profile information during the registration process for the RapidBrowser, none of the personally identifying information is used or shared, and providing profile information in the RapidBrowser is optional by inputting non-identifying information. The RapidBrowser user's web usage is not tracked. What is recorded and shared with the advertising service provider is the user's interaction with the relative banner advertising.

The RapidBrowser has a built-in web search feature. This gives the user the option to utilize external web search engines directly from the browser interface. RapidMedia Network relies on third parties for this service.

Privacy on our website

The following statement discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for RapidMeidaNetwork.com including the registration for the RapidBrowser.

IP Addresses

RapidMedia Network will on occasion collect visitors' IP addresses to help diagnose problems with servers and to administer Web sites. IP addresses will not be used for any purposes other than these.

Information Collected from Purchase and Information Request Forms RapidMediaNetwork.com uses forms for visitors to request information, products, and services. Contact information from these forms is used to send orders and information about RapidMedia Network to customers. Visitors' contact information is also used to get in touch with them when necessary. Visitors may opt-out of receiving future mailings by emailing privacy@rapidmedianetwork.com.

Accessing, modifying or deleting the information RapidMedia Network has collected from you

Registered users may access, update, or delete the information by clicking on the MyRapidMedia link. At this area, you will need to login using the login name and password you originally selected. Then follow the directions on the page to make changes. If you wish to have your personally identifiable information removed from our databases, you may do so by sending an email to unsubscribe@rapidmedianetwork.com.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files that an Internet server can store on a user's computer. The files can contain information that can only be read by the server that places the file.

Advertisement on the RapidBrowser

RapidMedia Network may utilize outside ad companies to display ads on its web sites or on the face of the RapidBrowser. These ads may contain cookies that appear to be coming from RapidMedia Network sites, but in reality the cookies are coming from partner sites. RapidMedia Network does not have access to any information about visitors from cookies received while using the RapidBrowser.

RapidMedia Network.com and the RapidBrowser contain links to other sites. RapidMedia Network is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. RapidMedia Network has established relationships that allow visitors to use the RapidBrowser to link directly to sites operated by third parties. RapidMedia Network, Inc. chooses its advertisers and business partners carefully. However, RapidMedia Network, Inc. is not responsible for the content or practices of web sites operated by third parties that are linked to our site. These links are meant for the user's convenience only. Once you have accessed a site via such a link, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party site. This site may also be linked from websites operated by companies affiliated with RapidMedia Network, Inc. Visitors to those sites should refer to their separate privacy policies and practices.

Security

RapidMedia Network.com and the RapidBrowser strictly protect the security of your personal information within the confines of the RapidMediaNetwork.com domain and the RapidBrowser product, and honor your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. We protect your data from disclosure, with exception only in matters where designated by law or court order.

Children's Guidelines

In order to register with RapidMedia Network, and receive the RapidBrowser, users must be 13 years of age or older. During the registration process, we will block individuals under the age of 13 from registering with us, and will not store in our databases any of the information that they may have provided. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Should we become aware that we have personally identifiable information from an individual who is under the age of 13 whether during the registration process or at a later time, we will delete that information from our databases.

Parents, please note that we use a persistent identifier that allows you to access our web site after you have initially registered without re-entering your password. This persistent identifier is linked to the computer at which you register, or from which you login after registration. As you know, home computers are used by many different family members, including children. If you do not want your under-13 year old child to be able to access our web site, you will need to set your browser to reject cookies. Otherwise, he or she will be able to access our web site using your identity. Once you load our browser on your computer, you will not be able to use it without providing your password. Similarly, our browser software allows you to save your password, so that you do not have to re-enter it each time you open the browser. If you select this option, children under 13 who have access to your computer will be able to use our browser software. If you do not want he or she to use the browser software, do not select the “save password” option.

Parents of children between the ages of 13 and 17 should participate in their children’s online experience. As parents, you should be aware of what web sites your child visits, and should take steps to educate them about good online practices. We strongly encourage parents of our 13 to 17 year old visitors to remain active in their child’s online experience.

Third party payment system

RapidMedia Network utilizes a third party payment and fulfillment company to handle purchases of the RapidBrowser. This company is PayPal. In order to purchase the RapidBrowser software, one must register for a PayPal account. PayPal collects certain information including financial (credit card) information which is needed to open an account. RapidMedia Network is not responsible for the security and privacy practices of PayPal and users should refer to their separate privacy policies and practices at www.paypal.com.

Privacy of customer data

Certain information is necessarily collected by RapidMedia Network. We retain records of licensed users of our software, and these records may contain any or all of the following information: names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, or other relative identifying information. We do not sell or share this information with other parties. We do not sell or share this information with our advertising partners or advertising agencies. If a customer places a request for customer service, the information that may be collected is: email address, name, phone number, correspondence records, and technical information such as system hardware, operating system, and the version RapidBrowser being used. This information is voluntarily given by the customer, and is used by RapidMedia Network only for the purpose of assisting the customer with his or her problems. This information is not used for any other purpose. Information collected by our customer service department is not shared nor it is sold to other parties. We do not sell or share this information with our advertising partners or advertising agencies.
